OBITUARY.
Mary A. Seavy was born in Deerfield, Onida county, N. Y., August 9, 1822. On March 19, 1845, she was married to E. W. Jerman, in Deerfield, Onida connty, N. Y., where they lived until 1847. They then moved to Wisconsin, living there until 1891, at which time they moved to Riceville, Iowa, where they have resided until the present time.
On October 23 she complained of feeling ill, and from that time gradually grew worse and all that skill and loving hands could do seemed of no avail, and at 8 o'clock p. m., October 26th, she quietly passed to the great beyond from where no traveler returns
She was a kind, faithful, devoted wife; her home was always the happiest and best ordered of households. She was the kindest and most self-sacrificing of friends and no better evidence of this could be furnished than the testimony of her own relatives, who know only too well what a loss her departure is to them; she was a constant and courageous friend, steadfast in prosperity and adversity alike, she was a generous and obliging neighbor.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Riverside Cemetery.
