Gary L. French, age 60, of Osage, died Sunday, January 26, 2020, at the Faith Home in Osage.

Cremation has taken place.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date. Following the services there will be a time to greet the family for fellowship and lunch in the parish hall.

Gary was born September 20, 1959, in Osage, the son of James and Mary Helen (Gerhartz) French. He attended school in Osage and graduated from Osage High School in 1978. Gary then served in the United States Navy from 1978 to 1982. He was employed at the City of Osage and Featherlite in Cresco. Gary was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed watching westerns and the T.V. show JAG. Gary was an avid Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Gary is survived by his mother, Mary Helen French of Osage; sister, Cathy French of Osage; sister-in-law, Christie French of Salina, Kansas; brother-in-law, David Krietemeyer of Evansville, Indiana; and aunt, Cindy Dailey of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his father, James French; sister, Diann Krietemeyer; brothers, Robert French and John French; nephew, John Krietemeyer; uncles and aunts, Ralph and Millie Thome, Joe and Kathy Freund, Jack Dailey, Claire and Helen French, Ken and Joan Limke and Bob French.
