Leora 'Lee' Huddleston

July 14, 1934 - September 7, 2019

Leora ‘Lee’ Huddleston, age 85 of Mc Intire, IA, passed away Saturday, Sept 7, 2019 at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center.

Leora was born on July 14, 1934 in Clear Lake, Iowa, to Virgil and Mildred (Grell) Caffrey.

She married Richard “Dick” Huddleston on August 5, 1977 in McIntire. For 25 years Lee was a CNA at the Stacyville Nursing Home, she retired in 2001. For many years she was active in the McIntire United Methodist Church.

Lee was known for her chocolate syrup brownies, she also loved flowers, both indoors and outdoors, as well as yard work, feeding the birds, especially: cardinals, finches and hummingbirds. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.

Lee is survived by her husband, Richard ‘Dick’ Huddleston of McIntire; four children: Patricia Bundy of Cherokee, IA, Deborah (James) Bodensteiner of New Prague, MN, Tom (Sandy) Reynolds of Mc Intire, and Kimberly Huemann of Osage; Dick’s three children: Christine Ahyai of Northwood, IA, Joleen (Kevin) McBride of Reedsburg, WI, and Nikki (Torrey) Young of Nora Springs; eleven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Geri Martin and a brother, Darrell Caffrey.
