Robert "Bob" Kraft
January 14, 1941 - August 23, 2019
Robert (Bob) D. Kraft, age 78, of Riceville passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019, at his home in Riceville, Iowa.
Bob was born on January 14, 1941, in Lake City, Iowa to Walter and Genevieve (Bowles) Kraft. He grew up in Lake City and graduated from Lake City High school.
He married Patricia Daniel on Sept. 25, 1960 in Lake City. They have been married for 58 3/4 years before Bob’s death. Bob & Pat moved to a farm north of Saratoga, Iowa in January 1962. They had four children: Lori, Scott, Brett, and Tamara. Bob & Pat farmed for over 42 years. Bob, Pat and family attended the Presbyterian Church in Saratoga. In 1987, they moved to Riceville, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Pat, his four children: Lori Van Vliet, Scott (Connie) Kraft, Brett Kraft and Tamara Kraft. 11 grandchildren: Shannon (John) Beyer, Dwayne (Betsy) Wright, Tyler Wright, Amanda Cowell, Josh Van Vliet, Kaci (Nick) Pohlman, Jordan Kraft, Taylor Kraft, Jacob Kraft, Marisol Delgado, Mika Delgado. 8 great-grandchildren: Joey and Courtney Beyer, Skyler and Tanner Wright, Zoey and Jace Cowell, Bella and Valen Pohlman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter and Genevieve Kraft, 2 brothers: Leo and Ronnie Kraft, and a sister Betty Remsburg.
The family is holding a celebration of Bob's life on Sunday, Sept. 1st beginning at 11 am. and continuing throughout the day. There will be a time of sharing memories and stories from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to share their favorite memory of Bob. The celebration of life will be held at the Scott Kraft residence, 318 Addison Ave, Riceville, Iowa.
