Sandy Jeffrey, age 62, of Osage, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Sandy’s life from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Private graveside inurnment services will held be at a later date at the Osage Cemetery.
Sandra Kay Jeffrey was born September 28, 1956, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Harland and DonnaBelle (Egan) Butters. She attended Osage High School. On May 10, 1975, Sandy married Nicholas Jeffrey at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage. She worked at Fox River Mills and RR Donnelley until retiring in 2015. Sandy enjoyed going to the casino, shopping, traveling to visit family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Christina Rodemaker (Brian Bast) of Osage; grandchildren, Riley Rodemaker, Abbi Rodemaker, Brady Rodemaker, and Parker Bast; her mother, DonnaBelle Randall of Osage; sisters and brothers, Barb (Mike) Nash of Baxter, Minnesota, Robert (Patti) Butters of Port St. John, Florida, Michael (Diann) Butters of Onalaska, Washington, and Peggy (Barry) Martin of Titusville, Florida; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pam (Mike) Ryner of Rudd, Randy (Denise) Jeffrey of Rockford, and Pat Jeffrey of Rockwell; and several other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Nick in 2014; son-in-law, Ron Rodemaker; father-in-law, Roger Jeffrey, mother-in-law, Shirley Jeffrey Sturges, and step-father-in-law, Harley Sturges.
