Gerald “Jiggs” Grimm, age 75, of Mitchell, died Monday, February 25, 2019, at his home in Mitchell.
Cremation has taken place.
Graveside inurnment services will be held at a later date at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell.
Gerald “Jiggs” Grimm was born February 18, 1944, in Hayfield, Minnesota, the son of John and Norma (Stanton) Grimm. He graduated from Osage High School.
On September 20, 1969, he married Janet Havig. They made their home in Mitchell. Jiggs worked as a mechanic and was later employed by Tops Business Forms in Osage. He was part owner of a race car, and enjoyed stock car racing and NASCAR.
Jiggs is survived by his son, Todd “Spike” (Jennifer) Grimm and sons, Titan and Thor of Mitchell; sisters, Marge Olson and Shirley (Dick) Frank; brother, Chuck (Jackie) Grimm; several half-brothers and half-sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Grimm and Norma Grimm Wells; brother, Robert Grimm; nephew, Travis Grimm; and two half-brothers.
