MASON CITY, IOWA - Steve L. Harris, 62, of Mason City, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at home in Mason City.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 Spring Street, Manly, Iowa. Inurnment will be in the Kensett Cemetery.
A visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2018 at Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 Spring Street, Manly, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be directed to North Iowa Community Kitchen.
Steve was born June 29, 1956, son of Vernon and Judith (Calgaard) Harris, in Mason City. He grew up on the family farm near Grafton and later lived in Mason City. Steve attended St. Ansgar Community School District and also worked various jobs in the Northern Iowa area.
Steve enjoyed reading his western books and will be remembered for his caring heart.
Steve is survived by his sister, Bonnie (Jerald) Charlson; sister, Susan (Dean) Cowell; brother, Robert Harris sister, Katherine (Stephen) Marshall; sister, Linda (George) Kauffman, numerous nieces and nephews; aunt, Irma Harris; special friends, Don and Rose Anderson.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Judith Harris.
