Died: October 26, 2018

Kathleen “Kate” Hemann, age 94, of Osage, Iowa, died Friday, October 26, 2018, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Osage with Fr. Raymond Burkle officiating. Following services, cremation will take place. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage, at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Kate was born December 15, 1923, in Jenkins Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Louise (Johanns) Milbrandt. She graduated from McIntire High School in 1941.

On January 2, 1945, she married Cletus Hemann at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer. Kate was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Guild in Osage. Kate enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, going for car rides, and watching the Minnesota Twins and Iowa Hawkeyes on TV.

Kate is survived by her children, Richard (Judy) Hemann of Osage, LaVonne (Larry) Heimer of St. Charles, Minnesota, Duane (Terrie) Hemann of Osage, Norman Hemann of Osage, Larry (Karen) Hemann of Osage; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Werner of Osage; and one brother, Bob Milbrandt of Rochester, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cletus in 1988; son, Dennis Hemann in 2018; brother, Ralph Milbrandt; sister, Bernice Runde.
