Death of Gus Goettle.
Last Friday morning Ferd Goettle received a telegram announcing the death of his son Gus, at Glasgow, Montana, and asking what disposition to make of the body. The telegram was signed by Andrew Lee, a son of Geulich Lee, of Cresco, who was out there with him. No further particulars are obtainable, but death must have come to him in some sudden form, as a letter from him to a Cresco acquaintance but a few days before stated that he was in good health. The remains are to be brought to McIntire, Iowa, for interment.

GOETTEL.
Gustave Adolph Goettel was born in Lansing, Allamakee county, Iowa, April 9th, 1879, and departed life in Glasgow, Montana, March 24th, 1904, aged 24 years 9 months and 15 days.

His many friends in Cresco were shocked to learn of his death, as but a short time before a letter from him stated that he was enjoying good health. Several years ago, with high ambitions, he went to the state of Montana where he took up a claim, and where he has since resided. He was a true friend and worthy companion, and the sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement. He leaves a father, brothers and sisters to mourn his loss.
The funeral services were held in Glasgow, Mont., and be was brought to McIntire, Ia., for interment by the side of a sainted mother who preceded him into the realms of heaven.
