James Francis Rogers, age 90, of Osage, Iowa, died Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle presiding. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage.
Jim was born March 10, 1928, in Osage, Iowa, the son of W. E. “Eddie” and Genevieve (Byrnes) Rogers. He graduated from Osage High School in 1945 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Jim was married to Mildred Rose Weber on July 17, 1948. They moved to California in 1957. Jim retired and they moved back to Osage in 2000. He enjoyed gardening and classic automobiles.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred of Osage; two daughters, Jeanine Gaynor of New Berlin, Wisconsin, and Sheila Rogers of Osage; grandson, Daniel Boylan; and two great-grandchildren, Hayleigh Huntley Boylan and Tanner Huntley Boylan. Also surviving are many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Urban Rogers; and sister, Dolores Weinberger.
