OSAGE - Isabelle “Belle” Spitz, age 77, of Osage, died Friday, June 1, 2018, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center Hospice Unit in Osage.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Sacred Heart Oratory in Meyer, Iowa, with Father Raymond Burkle and Msgr. John Hemann officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a rosary at 3:15 p.m. and a vigil service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage. Following the burial, there will be a time for lunch and fellowship at the Columbus Club, 1403 State Street, Osage, Iowa.

Isabelle “Belle” Spitz, age 77, of Osage, died Friday, June 1, 2018, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center Hospice Unit in Osage.

Following the burial, there will be a time for lunch and fellowship at the Columbus Club, 1403 State Street, Osage, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or the Mitchell County Food Bank.
Isabelle “Belle” Spitz was born September 19, 1940, near Meyer, Iowa, the daughter of Alban and Kathren (Becker) Hemann. She attended school in Meyer. On May 28, 1960, she married Bernard Spitz at Sacred Heart Church in Meyer. They made their home in Osage.
Over the years, Belle was a part-time school cook, an Avon representative, and a Kwik Star morning host. She also cooked and cleaned for various groups and cleaned homes for the elderly. Belle was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart Guild, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and participated in league bowling for over 30 years. She loved fishing and polka dancing.
Belle is survived by her children, Michael Spitz (Carol Smith) of Osage, William (Lori) Spitz of Osage, Robert (Erika) Spitz of Osage, Debra (Gary) Pasek of Chicago, Illinois, James (Mary) Spitz of Osage, and Joseph (Janice) Spitz of Chicago, Illinois; 13 grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah, Derek, Alyson, Rebecca, Jerad, Autumn, Garret, Nathen, Wyatt, Taylor, Jakob and Victoria; seven great-grandchildren, Parker, Benjamin, Paisley, Falynn, Adalynn, Grey and Westyn; sister, Sally Michels of Austin, Minnesota; and brother, Clem Hemann of Osage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard in 2007; brothers, Vincent, Eugene and Gervase Hemann; sisters, Viola Hemann and Evelyn Landherr; and daughter-in-law, Janet Spitz.
