MITCHELL, IOWA - Faith Elaine Jenkins, age 61, of Columbia, South Carolina, and formerly of Mitchell. Faith took her walk with Jesus on Palm Sunday, March 25, 2018.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell, with Pastor David A. Werges officiating. Inurnment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell. A light luncheon in the church hall will follow the inurnment.

Faith was born September 18, 1956 in Osage, the daughter of Donald J. and Neva (Swartwood) Beyer. She graduated in 1976 from Osage High School. Faith had so much heart and compassion toward the elderly. She chose to work as a nurse aide, to reach out to others and gave them everything marked with Love she had. Her work followed her to Orlando, Florida, where she met and married David Vick II.

After five years, their calling moved them to Columbia, South Carolina; at that time, Faith Elaine joined the Lexington Medical Center Hospital, which gave her pleasure in a hospital environment. She continued until a stroke forced her to retire after 15 years.

Faith Elaine is survived by her two sons, David (Johnette) Vick III of Gaston, South Carolina, and Donald Vick of Osage; mother, Neva Mae Beyer of Ocala, Florida; two sisters, Susan Ameriene of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Irene Barrett of Mitchell; brother, Lonnie (Lisa) Beyer of Osage; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, David Vick II and Dennis Jenkins; father, Donald J. Beyer.
