March 31, 1957 - April, 9, 2018

St. Ansgar, Iowa - LeRoy Jones, 61, of rural Floyd, Iowa, died on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, April, 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM, at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, with Rev. Cindy Krause and Rev. Lance Kittleson officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home.

LeRoy was born on March 31, 1957 to Wayne and Carol (Kittleson) Jones in Osage, Iowa. He graduated from Osage High School in 1975. He farmed and also had dairy cattle. He married Julie Mayer and had three children, Heather, Duane and Kris.

LeRoy enjoyed helping people. He was a very skillful and hard working person. If you wanted something done, LeRoy was there to help, however it might have come with a bit of profanity, but he was there to help you. He enjoyed riding and braking horses, working in his shop and farming. He was known for being wide open and fearless.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his infant son, Kris Jones; father, Wayne Jones and his brother Kevin.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Jones of Rudd, Iowa; son, Duane Jones of Kansas City, Mo.; mother Carol and sister Lori (Andy) Aird.

The Leroy Jones family would like to thank Hospice of North Iowa for their loving care.
