April 16, 1956 - February 23, 2018
Alvin Ray Johnston, 61, of Osage, Iowa, formerly of Decorah, passed away February 23, 2018, at Osage Rehab & Health Care in Osage, Iowa.
Those left to remember Alvin include his parents Ronald & Bonnie Johnston of Osage, Iowa; sister-in-law Rita Johnston of Osage, Iowa; three nieces and their families: Veronica (Jason) Baldwin of Albuquerque, New Mexico and their children Christopher & Gabe, Amanda (Andrew) Johnson of Bay City, Michigan and their daughter Indie, and Alana (Luke) Scheer of Osage, Iowa and their children Drayven & Kade; aunt Mildred Johnston of Urbandale, Iowa; several cousins; his two best friends from Decorah, Iowa, Jimmie Orvella and Scott Lyons; and his loving caretakers at Osage Rehab & Health Care in Osage, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Evan Johnston, and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5 at Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 West Monroe St, Mount Ayr, Iowa with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be present prior to the services on Monday.
