Judy Ann Wilkes

July 24, 1945 - December 2, 2017

Judy Ann Wilkes, age 72, passed away at her home in Riceville, Iowa on December 2, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Judy was born on July 24, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Horace Morelle and Elda Luva (Smith) Tiffany. She attended local schools and graduated from Riceville, then furthered her education at AIB in Des Moines.

Judy was united in marriage to Milo Wilkes on September 10, 1966 at the Little Cedar Methodist Church in Little Cedar, Iowa. Judy loved children and owned the local daycare center, Wee Care, for many years. Family was very important to Judy and she was a dedicated wife, mother, and most of all, grandma.

She always made a special effort to keep in touch with her grandkids. Some of her other hobbies were tending to her flower garden, playing cards with family, and spoiling her cat. Her trips to visit her brother in North Carolina each year were especially precious to her.

Survivors include her husband Milo of Riceville, Iowa, a son, David and his wife Julie Wilkes of Cresco, Iowa and a daughter Teresa Larson of Springfield, Minnesota. Also surviving are grandchildren: Kayla Lang of Sanborn, Minnesota, Lucas Hosek of Springfield, Minnesota, Amanda Larson of Springfield, Minnesota, AJ Larson of Sanborn, Minnesota, Megan Wilkes of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Nick Larson, Watertown, South Dakota, Miranda Wilkes and Ethan Wilkes of Cresco, Iowa. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren and one brother Avery Tiffany of Wilson, North Carolina.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Horace and Elda Tiffany, Charles and Ferne Hockens, and a grandson Jonah Dean Larson.
