LEROY, Minn. -- A man who worked for SEMA Equipment Inc. died after falling from a raised platform at the Minnesota business Monday morning.
According to Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi, Gary James Retterath, 47, of Stacyville, was repairing a combine when the accident occurred about 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Retterath was standing on the platform trying to remove an auger from the combine. The auger snapped, causing him to lose his footing and fall onto a cement floor with a metal grate.
