William “Bill” Newhouse, age 92, of Osage, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor Roy Ott officiating. There will be a luncheon and time to greet the family at the Osage V.F.W., 3693 Hwy 218, following the Celebration of Life Services. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Osage Cemetery, with full Military Honors conducted by the Osage V.F.W. Post 7920.

Bill was born March 18, 1925, near McIntire, the son of Mayo and Genevieve (Julius) Newhouse. He graduated from McIntire High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bill married Mary Rodemaker in 1948, to this union five children were born. They later divorced.

He was a janitor for the Osage Community Schools and then was a fulltime United States rural mail carrier. Bill married Shirley Kisner in 1977. He was a lifetime member of the Osage V.F.W Post 7920. Bill enjoyed fishing, playing the drums in a country western band and drinking coffee with family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Shirley Newhouse of Osage; children, Leslie (Donette) Newhouse of Fennimore, Wisconsin, Carol Newhouse of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Steve (Kimberly) Newhouse of Johnston, Diane (Mike) Wolf of Missoula, Montana, Jerry (Ranae) Newhouse of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Rick (Darlene) Kisner of Holmen, Wisconsin, David (Deborah) Kisner of Stanwood, Washington, Craig Kisner of Mason City, Bradley Kisner of Bon Aire, Tracy (Kiersten) Kisner of Osage, and Korey Kisner of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Davis of Turners Falls, Massachusetts and Audrey Oulman of Riceville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, LuAnne Fullard; sister, Darlene Tate; and by four brothers, Leslie Newhouse, Paul Newhouse, Glendale Newhouse and Darrell Newhouse.
