Vera Neva (Blunt) Krause, 97, passed away at the Nora Springs Care Center in Nora Springs.
Vera was born November 1, 1919 near Rockford to parents, Grace and Virgil Blunt.
Vera and husband, Roger, spent most of a lifetime in the Carpenter, St. Ansgar and Rockford area. The Krause family owned and operated a hardware store and gift shop in Carpenter for a number of years in the 1950's. Vera also had interest in things from the past and had an antiques shop in Rockford for a number of years. Many retirement years during the summer were spent at a resort in Minnesota with son, Norris and his family.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband Roger, son Norris, daughter-in-law Sue, parents, five sisters and two brothers.
Vera is survived by one son, Marvin, of Aurelia, lA, six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff at Nora Springs Care Center for a number of years of love and care. A family graveside service will take place in St. Ansgar at a later date.
