Thomas 'Tom' Eugene Majewski

July 14, 1952 - Friday, June 2, 2017

CLEAR LAKE, IOWA -- Thomas “Tom” Eugene Majewski, 64, Clear Lake, formerly of Plymouth, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

At Tom's request, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Opportunity Village Forum so his friends and community can attend and wish him goodbye. Service location is 1200 North 9th Street West in Clear Lake, with Pastor Scott Sokol from Opportunity Village officiating.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Charles City with Deacon Michael Ward of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at Opportunity Village in Clear Lake.

The family of Thomas Majewski would like to suggest that those wishing to give a memorial in his memory may direct them to the family.

Thomas Eugene Majewski was born on July 14, 1952, in Osage, the son of Andy and Mildred (Luther) Majewski. Tom enjoyed living on the family farm with his parents, until he moved to Mason City where he worked for NIVC. Tom then moved to Opportunity Village in Clear Lake where he made many friends and spent many happy years. Tom loved many hobbies like fishing with his family and friends, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles with his brother Jerry, and enjoyed riding his bicycle. He also enjoyed building and fixing things. He had a love for cats and enjoyed living on the farm.

Those left to cherish his memory are his half-brother, Jerry (Peggy) Majewski of Plymouth, Iowa; and half-sister, Donna (Ron) Springer of Sun City West, Arizona. Tom was also uncle of two nephews, six nieces, and seven grand-nieces and nephews. Nephews: David Springer of Kingston, Washington, and Daniel (Diane) Majewski of Rosemount, Minnesota; nieces, Cindy (Ingersoll) (Jerry) Hoffman of Little Cedar, Iowa, Jodi (Majewski) (Marvin) Edwards of Sumner, Iowa, Nancy (Ingersoll) (Joel) Rollins of Claremont, Minnesota, and Rhonda Jo (Springer) (Shane) Everitt of Peoria, Arizona; grand-nieces and nephews, Desarae (Springer) Pierce of Evansdale, Iowa, Shaun Hoffman of Little Cedar, Iowa, Zach Edwards of Sumner, Iowa, Luke and Mya Majewski of Rosemount, Minnesota, and Cole and Clay Rollins of Claremont, Minnesota; he is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Mildred Majewski, half-sister, Mary Ingersoll, and a brother-in-law, Wilmer “Glen” Ingersoll.
