Randall Lee Hintz, age 64, of Mitchell, Iowa, died Friday, May 26, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society, in St. Ansgar, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Sister Reneé Mauser officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell.
Randy was born April 12, 1953, in Osage, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Smith) Hintz. He attended school in Mitchell and Osage.
Randy was united in marriage to Donna Anderson on August 25, 1973 at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell. To this union three children were born. They later divorced. He later married Patty Kinsel on June 12, 1999 in Nashua. They later separated. He was employed at White Farm, drove truck for TS Express and Fitzsimmons Trucking and various types of construction. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell and the 1133rd National Guard Unit in Mason City. Randy enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Randy is survived by his children, April (Ken) Grimm of Little Cedar, Justin (Jessica) Hintz of Osage and Trevor Hintz of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Alyssa, Addyson, and Aaron Grimm, Jayson and Jackson Hintz; step-father, Robert Neumann of St. Ansgar; brother, Russell (Dorene) Hintz of Mitchell; sister, Karen Norton (Saron Sutton) of Rudd; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Neumann; father, Harold Hintz and step-mother, Lucille Hintz.
