DEMARAY, LEEMAN, YOUNG, CLEVELAND

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Arlene Demaray, 82 years old, of Minnesota, passed away on April 4, 2017, with her family by her side.
Arlene was born on September 29, 1934, to Herbert Edward and Allie Marie (Cleveland) Young where she lived until she met the man that would sweep her off her feet and make Arlene his wife; Dale Leeman and Arlene united in marriage on Oct. 4, 1951, and had two boys Dale and Albert and one girl, Sandy. Dale left this earth on June 25, 1978, to be in his heavenly home, from a massive heart attack. Arlene united in marriage many years later to Leighton Demaray, who once again filled her with the love that she had lost with the death of her first husband; they were married on Sept. 12, 1992.
Arlene loved to do crafts, garden, and spend time with her family. Her large gardens would be surrounded with flowers and filled with the many vegetables that she would later use for the winter. Visits with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are times she will also be remembered for, tea time with the many tea sets she had along with games were always an enjoyment with her. Her laugh when she just let you win at the game would fill the room and make everyone smile. A hug and kiss on the cheek were a signature farewell, until I see you again, that she still gave us every time we had to go. We will give her our last until we see you again today but her love will live in each one of us that loved her in so many different ways.
Arlene left behind her husband Leighton, her three children: Sandy (Roger) Glassell of Leighton Iowa, Albert (Carrie) Leeman of Volga, SD, and Dale (Shirley) Leeman of Clarks Grove, Minnesota. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Jeremy (Kari) of Geneva, MN, Jessica (Lonnie) of Fremont, IA, Tony of Pella, IA, Tommy (Lori) of Albert Lea, MN, Daleena (Jason) of Volga, SD, Melissa (Brandon) of Austin, MN, Tina (Robbie) of Pella, IA, She also leaves 22 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the United Methodist Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa, with the Rev. Dr. Rhoda Preston officiating.
