Funeral services for William “Bud” Dunn will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Wayne Baptist Church in McIntire, IA with Pastor Gary Gilbert officiating. Burial will take place in the Wayne Cemetery, rural McIntire. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at the Hindt Funeral Home in Le Roy, Minnesota.

William Dunn, age 86, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday December 31, 2016 at his home in Waterloo. He had been sick a short time.

William David “Bud” Dunn was born April 16, 1930 in Little Cedar, Iowa, to David and Alice (Nicholson) Dunn. He attended and graduated from McIntire High School in 1949. Bud was drafted into the United States Army in 1951 and served until 1953. Following his discharge he started working for Oliver in Charles City.

He then worked for Johnson Outdoor Motor Co. in IL. After returning to Iowa in 1959 he started working as an External Grinder for John Deere. He retired from there in 1987. Following his retirement he started working for Billy Tackle, fixing reels. At the time he took ill he was working at Hanks Live Bait & Tackle where he fixed reels and fishing poles. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his wife Betty of Waterloo, IA and a sister Millie Fredricks of Stacyville, IA. He also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty and two brothers-in-law; Roger Fredricks and Walter VanHook.
