Veteran.
June 21, 1943 - September 4, 2015
Mr. Gerald "Jerry" D. Nitschke, 72, of Lamar, Arkansas, and formerly of Otranto, Iowa, passed away Friday September 4, 2015 at his home. He was born June 21, 1943 to Floyd and Viola (Wirtjes) Nitschke.
Mr. Nitschke was a retired farmer, former driver for Winnebago Industries and worked for the Co-Op in Van Buren, Arkansas, until they close. Jerry enjoyed music, making wooden crafts and traveling.
Mr. Nitschke is preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter Cristy Presley. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Nitschke of Lamar; daughter Sheila and Joe Taylor of Ft. Smith; one sister, Gloria and George Vaughn of Mountain Home; sister-in-law, Bev and Duane Steiger; brother-in-law, Tom and Kris Juenger; a niece and several nephews and cousins.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
