Robert L. White, Jr., age 69, of Osage, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at the Osage Alliance Church in Osage with Pastor Jim Stern officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery with Military Honors by the Osage VFW Post 7920. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Robert was born December 1, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Robert L. and Ellarie (Skaggs) White, Sr. Robert served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970. He later served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the Osage Alliance Church of Osage and was a former member of the Legacy Bible Church in Sherman, Texas. Robert enjoyed volunteering and helping people, reading, participating in Bible Studies, and photography.

Robert is survived by his children Robert Luther “Luke” (Bertha) White, III, of Wellington, Kansas, Cindy (Dale) Hemann of Osage, Ryan (Amy) White of Kansas City, Missouri, Royce (Sarah) White of Branson, Missouri, Riley (Rachelle) White of Leander, Texas, Caressa (Nick) Webb of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Cerina (Brandon) Buehne of Derby, Kansas; 25 grandchildren; sisters Valerie Dunbar of Greensburg, Kentucky, Gwen (Walter) Schrammel of Grand Junction, Colorado; brothers, Clenny (DiAnn) White of Medford, Oregon, Brendan (Kae) White of Sterling Heights, Michigan; and a sister-in-law Dawn White of Santa Ana, California.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Wendell White and an infant grandson Coltin White.
