Paul E. Wagner, age 77, of Osage, died Monday, July 25, 2016, at Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.
Cremation has taken place.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Msgr. John Hemann officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage Knights of Columbus or a charity of your choice.
The family requests casual dress at the funeral mass.
Paul was born September 29, 1938, in Little Cedar, the son of Earl and Aterna (Falk) Wagner. He graduated from Orchard High School in 1956. Paul was united in marriage to Minerva Voshell on October 20, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. He farmed for 22 years and then was a self-employed contractor until he retired in 2005, due to health reasons. Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus 4308 in Osage. He enjoyed building things and was a life-long Vikings fan. Paul loved hot fudge sundaes and coincidentally passed away on National Hot Fudge Sundae Day.
Paul is survived by his wife, Minerva Wagner of Osage; his daughter, Therese Wagner (Fiance Ben Ziegler) of Ellsworth, Wisconsin and her children Nichole (Tristan, Nathan and Emelia), Tiffany, Meghan (Ella), Ashley, and Adam (Weston); his daughter, Laura (Ron) Clark of Cedar Rapids and their children Tara (Kadijatu), Andrea (Justin) and their children (Camden, Jackson, Bennett and Davis), Erica (Rylee, Kaylee and Elias); his son-in-law, Bruce Small of Osage and his children Mallory (Matt) and their son (Landry), Sydney (Jordan) and their daughter (Brynn), and Sawyer; his daughter, LeAnne Wagner of Chicago, Illinois; his sister, Evelyn Gilson of Lamont and friend of the family, Mary Ann Dozark of Lamont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Wagner; daughter, Becki Small; siblings, Vincent Wagner, Dolores Kronemann, Lucille Johnson and Robert Wagner.
