OSAGE, IOWA — Zaneta M. Walters, 83, of Osage, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
A private family service will be held with inurnment at the Osage Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Major Erickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, IA 50401; 641-423-0924.

Obituary for Zaneta M. Walters
Zaneta M. Walters, 83, of Osage, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa. To honor mom’s wishes, a private family service will be held with inurnment at the Osage Cemetery.
Zaneta M. Bean was born April 2, 1932, in Nashua, Iowa, the daughter of Bertie and Grace (Green) Bean. She attended school in Nashua. On January 7, 1949, Zaneta was united in marriage to LaVerne Walters at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nashua. Zaneta was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking – especially desserts. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and watching wrestling and football on TV. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage.
Zaneta is survived by five children: Shirley Shirley of Charles City, Iowa, Susanne Kelly and husband Mike of Michigan, Richard “Rick” Walters and wife Ann of Osage, Sandra Heter and husband Alan of Minnesota, and Robert Walters and wife Darla of Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marilyn Sherman and her husband Robert of Swisher, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2002; two son-in-laws: Michael Shirley and Garriett Bolt; one grandson: Ryan Walters; one sister: Wilma Benttine; and two brothers: David Bean and Steven Bean.
