Obituary for Ted James McPhail

Ted James McPhail, age 50, of Osage passed away in a car accident on March 4, 2016.

Ted James McPhail was born April 12, 1965 at Osage, son of Charles and Donna (McCauley) McPhail. He attended school in Riceville, Iowa and later received his GED. He worked on the railroad, as a roofer, and for some years at Grain Miller's. He loved to be with friends and family.

He is survived by his beloved Shannon Marie Henaman of Osage; five children: Dustin and Darrell Smith of Rochester, Minnesota, Kyle of Waterloo, Mariah McPhail of Mason City and Courtney Horn of Osage; his grandchildren: Reviera, Gabriel, Aiden, Irylynn, Gavin, and Sophia; his mother Donna of Riceville; and three sisters: Renae and Keith Weipert, Bonnie and Roger Ladner, and Micki and Keith Winkles; his step-grandmother Dorothy McCauley; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, brother Daryl, and a niece Kim.

DEATH NOTICE:

OSAGE — Ted James McPhail, 50, of Osage, died Friday, March 4, 2016, as a result of a car accident.

Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville with Father Steve Garner officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.
