Clara Isabella Torblaa was born June 30, 1884 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Ole Larsen Torblaa and Martha Ivarsdatter Syse, one of their four children. She had a twin sister, Bertina.
Clara was baptized on July 14, 1884 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and confirmed at same on June 18, 1899. Clara never married, nor had children.
Found in the 1885, 1895 & 1905 censuses living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1885: Oley L Torbleau 28, Martha Torbleau 38, Leonard Torbleau 4, Bertina Torbleau 0, Clara Torbleau 0, Iver Olson 17 (should be 77), Cathrena Olson 68, Andrew Stensland 19.
1895: Clara Torblaa age 10.
Found in the 1900 - 1940 censuses living at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa:
1900: Ole L Torblan 43, Martha Torblan 53, Leonide Torblan 19, Clara Torblan 15, Bertine Torblan 15, Ida Torblan 11.
1910: Ole L Torblan 53, Martha Torblan 52 (should be 62), Clara Torblan 25, Ida Torblan 21, Gilbert Lee 25.
1915: Clara Torblaa age 30.
1920: Ole L Torblas 63 ,Martha Torblas 73, Clara Torblas 35.
1925: Oli L Torblaa 68, Martha Torblaa 78, Clare Torblaa 40.
1930: Ole L Torblaa 73, Martha Torblaa 83, Clara I Torblaa 45.
1940: Ole L Torblas 83, Martha Torblas 78 (should be 93), Clara I Torblas 55.
Clara I Torblaa died May 22, 1961 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
There is a memorial for her at Find A Grave #103285272.
