Joanne Ruth Decker, age 89, of Osage died Friday October 23, 2015 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center Hospice Unit in Osage.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 27,2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Bruce Kaltwasser officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Joanne was born January 22, 1926, in Floyd County, the daughter of Walter and Frieda (Tresemer) Hartwig. She graduated from Osage High School in 1943.

Joanne was united in marriage to Lester Decker on May 17,1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage.To this union two children, Dan and Shelley, were born. Joanne was employed at the Home Trust and Savings Bank as a teller for 19 years. She enjoyed sewing and reading.

Joanne is survived by a daughter, Shelley (Brad) Mueller of Greenfield; a son, Dan Decker of Hopkins, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Jonah and Caleb Mueller; and daughter-in-law, Holly DeVogt of Maple Grove, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester G. Decker and a brother, Bob Hartwig.
