Mary Elizabeth Klapperich, age 91, of Stacyville, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in Stacyville.
Cremation has taken place.
Graveside inurnment services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meyer, Iowa, with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. There will be no visitation.
Mary, one of ten children of Bernard and Rose (Weber) Klapperich, was born July 12, 1924, at Meyer, Iowa. She worked in a factory in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mary entered the Stacyville Community Nursing Home seven years ago. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, watching TV, and listening to music. Mary will be remembered as a very generous person.
Left to mourn her are three sisters-in-law, Catherine Klapperich, Ester Klapperich and Mary Ann Klapperich, all of Stacyville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, John, Isidore, Fred, Lawerence, Carl, Leo, Wilfred and Norbert Klapperich; and one sister, Hildegarde Halbach.
