DAN CHISHOLM, 42,
DIES VERY SUDDENLY
STRICKEN IN FIELD

Dan Chisholm, 42, died yesterday evening, July 28, at Nissen hospital, Osage, Iowa, from cerebral hemorrhage, just three hours after he was stricken.

Mr. Chisholm farms west of Osage. During the afternoon he had gone to the Manvil Ask farm, where his combine was being used, and was replacing a part when he became ill. He remarked to Mr. Ask that he was ill and would have to get to a doctor. Mr. Ask got him in his car and started for the Chisholm farm. Before they arrived the sick man was unconscious.

He was taken to the hospital, where he never regained consciousness.

Deceased was born May 5, 1901, at Carleton, Minnesota. He moved to Osage in 1920, and on November 19, 1923, was married to Rose Weinberger.

Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Chisholm as follows: Mercedes, Robert, James, Leo, Joan, Lawrence and Daniel, all at home, with the exception of Mercedes, who has been working in Cedar Rapids. She arrived home Thursday morning to be with the family

Surviving beside the wife and children named, is his mother, Mrs. Will Squier of Orchard; his brother, Fred, of San Pablo, California, and sisters, Mrs. Mary Wise, Mason City, and Mrs. David Carlson, of Harrison, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday morning at the Sacred Heart Church, in charge of the Rev. Father Fitzgerald, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
