Tillie (Tilda) Rossum was born April 26, 1889 at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa to Torger Larsen Rossum and Martha Iversdatter Aschens, the youngest of their five children.

Found in the 1895 - 1910 censuses at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa:

1895: Tillie Rossum age 5.

1900: Torger Rossum 60, Martha Rossum 53, Iver Rossum 21, Lise Rossum 19, Berte M Rossum 16, Anton Rossum 13, Tillie Rossum 11, Borger Rossum 57.

1910: Torger Rassum 69, Martha Rassum 63, Lise Rassum 29, Anton Rassum 23, Tella Rassum 21, Borgeir Rassum 67.

Tillie married Clarence Almond Helm (b 1887, d December 9, 1946) on January 18, 1911 at Plymouth, Cerro Gordo, Iowa.

The couple had 4 children:
3 sons, Laurel, Dale, Ellsworth (all vets of WWII) and
1 daughter: Buena Gould.

Found in the 1920 - 1940 censuses living at Falls, Cerro Gordo, Iowa:
1920: Clarence A Helm 32, Tilla Helm 30, Laurel A Helm 7, Ellsworthy Helm 3 yrs 6 mos, Torger Rossum 79,Martha Rossum 72, Homer E Ward 35.

1925: Clorence Helm 38, Tillie Helm 36, Samel Helm 13, Ellsworth Helm 8, Dale Helm 5, Buena Helm 2.

1930: Clarence A Halm 43, Tillie Halm 41, Laurel A Halm 18, Ellsworth G Halm 13, Dale G Halm 10, Buena G Halm 7.

1940: Clarence A Helm 53, Tillie Helm 50, Ellsworth G Helm 23, Dale G Helm 20, Buena G Helm 17.

Clarence and Tillie moved to Mason City, Iowa after retirement.

Tillie Helm died on November 1, 1977 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa. She and her spouse are buried at the Rock Falls Cemetery, Rock Falls, Cerro Gordo, Iowa.
