DEATH NOTICE:
OSAGE, IOWA, Jan. 20 — The funeral of Mrs. P. H. Gisleson, who died Wednesday of heart disease, was conducted this afternoon at Osage Lutheran Church by Rev. P. T. Sohm.
She was born in Norway but had resided in this country 41 years, coming from her native land at the age of 30.
A daughter and four sons survive.

NOTES:Kjersti Clara Olsdatter was born March 24, 1851 at Raastad, Gran, Oppland, Norway to Ole Gundersen and Pernille Pedersdatter, the first of their eleven children.
Kjersti left Norway on April 12, 1871 to emigrate to Green, Wisconsin where she began using the first name Clara.
In 1872, she moved to Chicago, Illinois and lived 2 years.
In 1874, she moved to Clayton Co, Iowa.
Clara married Peter Halvorsen Gisleson on September 25, 1875 at Elk Point, Union, South Dakota.
The couple had 6 children:
Henry Oscar (b February 21, 1876 Marion, Clayton, Iowa, d February 21, 1953 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);George (b November 11, 1878 Marion, Clayton, Iowa, d March 13, 1956 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);
Olvin Rudolph (b October 23, 1881 Marion, Iowa, d December 1, 1903 Floyd, Iowa);
Peter Wilhelm (b November 2, 1883 Clayton, Iowa, d July 22, 1974 Charles City, Floyd, Iowa);
Pauline Ceselie (b July 28, 1898 Marion, Iowa, d October 11, 1971 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa) and
Clarence Sigvald (b November 1, 1894 Marion, Iowa, d August 18, 1959 Floyd, Iowa).
Found in the 1895 census living at Marion, Clayton, Iowa: Clara Gilasen age 42.

About 1922, she moved to Osage, Iowa.
Found in the 1925 census at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: widowed; 7 children, 6 survived: Mrs Clara Giaselson 74.
Clara Gisleson died January 18, 1928 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
There is a memorial for her at Find a Grave #62979905.
