Myrtle Eleanor Naig was born January 20, 1909 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa to Peter Paulson Naig and Bertina Jennie Nelson, the first of their seven children. Myrtle was confirmed on May 13, 1923 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Found in the 1910 - 1925 censuses living at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: Peter Paulson Naig 36, Bertina Jennie Nelson Naig 26, Myrtle E Naig 1 yr 8 mos.

1920: Peter Naig 45, Lena Naig 35, Myrtle Naig 10, Nels Naig 8, Beatrice Naig 6, Cleof Naig 5, Lloyd Naig 3.

1925: P P Narg 52, Tena Narg 42, Myrta Narg 16, Nelo Narg 14, Beatrice Narg 12, Clerf Narg 10, Lloyd Narg 7, Josef Narg 5, Dorothy Narg 2.

Myrtle married Milton Herman Brandau on May 24, 1928 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Chickasaw, Iowa.

The couple had 6 children:
Ilene Ruby (b October 30, 1929 Floyd, Iowa, d February 5, 1930 same);

Baby (stillborn in 1930);

Milton Herman Jr (b October 30, 1931 Floyd, Iowa, d June 26, 2010 Charles City, Iowa);

Jeanne (b January 29, 1933 Floyd, Iowa);

Donald Dean (b June 24, 1934 Floyd, Iowa, d November 20, 2005 Charles City, Floyd, Iowa) and

Lawrence (Larry) Lee (b June 23, 1937, d March 16, 2001 Charles City, Floyd, Iowa).

Family found in the 1930 census living at rural Rudd, Floyd, Iowa: Milton H Brandon 23, Myrtle E Brandon 21.

Found in the 1940 census at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: Milton H Brandau 33, Myrtle M Brandau 31, Miller Brandau 8, Jeanne Brandau 7, Donald Brandau 5, Larry Brandau 2.

Myrtle Brandau died September 18, 1982 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.

There is a memorial for her at Find a Grave #55589647.
