ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Mary Catherine Chancellor, 92, of St. Ansgar died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, in Osage.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, at the United Methodist Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Dr. Rhoda Preston officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Mary Catherine Chancellor, 92, of St. Ansgar, died in Osage Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Memorial service will be held at United Methodist Church in St. Ansgar on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the St. Ansgar Cemetery following the service.

Mary was born October 21, 1922 to Bernard and Mary (Henke) Kruessel at Florissant, Missouri. On September 2, 1948 she was united in marriage to Richard A. Chancellor in Northwood.

Mary like to camp and fish, cooking, crocheting and quilting, and bowling.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard; two sisters, Clara Denning and Josephine Denning; one brother, August Kruessel.

She is survived by a son, Roger (Kathy) Atwater, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Kristine Fischer and Tara (Greg) Stassen; five great-grandchildren: Brandon (Amanda) Fischer, Allyson Fischer, Cole Fischer, Bryce Stassen, Breanna Stassen; and many nieces and nephews.
