Mishap Fatal to Kris Dahlhauser
Kris D. Dahlhauser, 29, of Webster City and a former Osage resident, was killed Saturday night (September 13, 1980) when the pickup truck he was riding in went over a 100-foot embankment near Webster City.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the United Methodist Church, in Osage with the Rev. Jack Speer, pastor, in charge. Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City with Harvey Hearn Jr., conducting the rites. Local visitation was at the Champion Funeral Home Monday evening
Kris Dean Dahlhauser was born December 12, 1950, in Independence, the son of Carol and Patricia Bateman Dahlhauser. He was graduated from Osage Community High School in 1969 and attended Iowa State University in Ames.
Debbie Weitmon and Kris Dahlhauser were united in marriage Aug. 22, 1971. He was engaged in the carpentry trade in various communities and the past two years was employed by Jess Habhab Construction company in Webster City.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Osage and the Moose Lodge in Webster City.
Surviving are his wife Debbie and two daughters, Robin, 8, and Amy 5, of Webster City; his parents, Carol and Pat Dahlhauser and one sister, Mindy, Osage; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dahlhauser, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Pat Bateman of Webster City.
