Jesse Jeffries, 72, Dies in Washington
Funeral services were held in Osage Sunday for Jesse Jeffries, 72, who died in Renton, Wash., earlier this week. Mr. Jeffries had lived in the Osage vicinity all of his life until moving to Washington in 1954.
The Rev. Luther Berven was in charge of the services at Our Savior's Lutheran church. Burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Jesse William Jeffries was born in Rock township, Mitchell county, August 12, 1884, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jeffries. He was baptized and confirmed in Our Savior's Lutheran church in Osage and received his education in Rock township school number one and in Osage High School.
He was married to Lillian Ingraham in Osage, March 31, 1908. They lived on a farm in Rock township until February 1940, when they moved to Osage to make their home with their daughter, Ruth. In June 1954, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffries moved to Renton, Wash., where he died last Tuesday.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian, his daughter, Mrs. Howard Olson, five grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Ray Carter of Osage, and two brothers, Earl and Charlie of Osage.
