Funeral services will be held on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in Osage, for Jack Stibal, 76, who died on Monday, February 14, 1983, at an Austin, Minnesota hospital. Father Roth will officiate at the service, and burial will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery, New Haven, Iowa. Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rosary will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night at the Champion Funeral Home.
Jack was born on June 21, 1906 the son of John and Ooura Caroll Stibal in Bruster, Minnesota.
Alice White and Jack Stibal were married on August 12, 1937, and always lived in the Osage area. Jack was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Genevieve Hubbard and two brothers, Joe of Charles City and Robert of New Haven.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; one daughter, Carolee Costanzo of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Gary Stibal of LaCanada, and Greg of Cedar Falls; and seven grandchildren.
