(Died October 31, 2014)

Everett Gisleson, age 88, of Osage, died Friday, October 31, 2014, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center Emergency Room in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2014, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Bryan Lagerstam and Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Everett was born October 27, 1926, in Osage, Iowa, the son of George and Ellen (Hegg) Gisleson. He graduated from Orchard High School. On November 22, 1951, Everett married Jaceil Nims at the Methodist Church in Floyd, Iowa. They farmed near Orchard. He was a member of the Sons of Norway, the Two Cylinder Club, and was a lifelong member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed farming, showing his restored John Deere tractors, and piloting his plane. Family was very important to Everett.

He is survived by three sons, Mark, Bill (Laurie) and Jon (Ardi) Gisleson; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Melissa), Max (Nicole), Alex, Ann, Sarah, Mark and Anna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jaceil in 2013; and sister, Candace Purvis.
