June (Judy) Betts Murphy
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., December 28, 1982 at First United Methodist Church for June Murphy. Rev. David Mead officiated with interment in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Austin.
She died December 24, 1982 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.
June (Judy) Murphy was born June 19, 1930 in Mitchell County, the daughter of Stoddard and Winnefred Betts. She attended Osage High School.
She was united in marriage to Elton Murphy on January 14, 1948 at the Methodist Church in Osage. She was active in Austin Women's Club and a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Elton B. Murphy, children: Mrs. Larry (Brenda) Bakken, Craig Murphy, Jason Murphy of Austin, Denise Murphy, Minneapolis; brothers, Phillip Betts, Waterloo, George Betts, Osage; sister, Orla Mae Potter, Osage; step-mother, Nell Betts, Riceville, half-sister, Mary Ann Vote, Riceville; grandchildren, Darcy Bakken, and Christopher Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
