RITES FOR MRS. MINNIE RACHUT, 74, AT ST. JOHN'S MONDAY

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at St. John's Lutheran church in Rock township for Mrs. Minnie Rachut, 74, who died Thursday at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital at Osage. Mrs. Rachut had been in failing health from a heart ailment. The Rev. Henry Dohmeier was in charge of the services.

Minnie Ernestina Rachut was born in Rock township, December 26, 1880, a daughter of William and Julia Feldt. She was baptized February 6, 1881, by the Rev. F.J. Zeilinger at St. John's Lutheran church. April 15, 1894, she was confirmed in the same church by the Rev. Westenberger.

October 18, 1906, she was married to Albert Rachut at St. John's Lutheran church by the Rev. E.J. Becker. The couple made their home on a farm in Newburg township. Their union was blessed with three sons: Oscar and Wilmer of Osage and Arthur of St. Ansgar.

Survivors include the three sons, two daughters-in-law, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rachut was preceded in death by her husband who died March 26, 1954; also, by two sisters, Mrs. Fred Schulz and Carrie Feldt, and by three brothers: William, Gustav and Charles Feldt.

Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran cemetery south of St. Ansgar.

Pallbearers were Emil Rachut, Willard Feldt, Erwin Bartz, Lloyd Feldt, Roy Rachut and Lloyd Hansen. Mrs. Lloyd Hansen and Mrs. Willard Feldt were in charge of the flowers at the services.

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p. m. in the St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of St. Ansgar, for Mrs. Albert Rachut, 74, who died Thursday at the Memorial Hospital in Osage.

Mrs. Rachut had been in failing health for several years due to a heart ailment. She was born in Rock Township and lived near St. Ansgar for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Survivors include three sons: Oscar and Wilmer of the Osage vicinity and Arthur of St. Ansgar. Five grandchildren also survive.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
