Aase Larsdatter was born September 25, 1819 at Bilden, Tingelstad, Hadeland, Oppland, Norway to Lars Engebretsen Bilden (b 1893) and Kari Torgrimsdatter Jorstad (b 1785).
Aase was baptized on October 2, 1819 at Gran, Norway. Birth/baptismal record found in the Norwegian Digital Archives for Gran, Oppland, Norway 1815-1824, page 117, entry #70. Sponsors listed, hard to decipher.
She married Hans Knudsen on May 26, 1845 at Gran, Hadeland, Oppland, Norway. Marriage record in the Norwegian Digital Archives for Gran, Oppland, Norway 1842-1856, page 868, entry #25: Hans Knudsen of Bilden age 25; Aase Larsdatter of Bilden age 26.
The couple had 6 children:

Aase, Hans and their two children Anna and Lars, left Norway in the summer of 1850 to emigrate to America. Found on the ship "Vesta"'s list: Aase Knudsen [Aase Larsdatter Knudsen]; Arrival: September 3, 1850; Birth Year: abt 1820; Age: 30; Gender: Female; Port of Departure: Christiania, Norway; Port of Arrival: New York, New York.
The family traveled on to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the trip taking about four weeks. They first resided at Muskego, Wisconsin for about a year. Then they moved to Rock Prairie, Wisconsin (about 1851) and lived there about three years.
The family moved to Newburg, Mitchell, Iowa about 1854, coming with the Rev. Clausen party and settling on farmland west of the Cedar River at Newburg township, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Aase Larsdatter Knudsen died on March 30, 1880 at Newburg, Mitchell, Iowa.
Listed in the 1880 census mortality schedule, dying of inamition.
She is buried at the Blakestad (also known as the Old Mill Road or Pederson) Cemetery, Newburg, Mitchell, Iowa.
