Syver Hermansen Klemesrud was born July 14, 1829 at Boen, Valdres, Hedalan, Norway to Hermann Syverson Boen and Kari Knudsdatter.
He married Gjertrud S Andersdatter abt 1856 at Norway and owned the "Klemetsrud" farm after his father. Not sure how many children the couple had; 3 were: Herman Syversen; Carrie C and Andrew C.
Syver and family emigrated aboutt 1881 to America, settling on farmland at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa.
Found in the 1885 census living at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa: Ceven (Syver) H Klemsind 66, Gertrude Klemsind 60, Hermen C Klemsind 26, Andrew C Klemsind 23, Carry C Klemsind 27. (housekeeper, daughter).
Syver Hermansen Klemesrud died September 2, 1898 at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
