Helen Leonora Klemesrud was born February 11, 1899 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Herman Knudsen Klemesrud and Lise Maria Dynna, the fourth of their ten children.
Helen was baptized on April 16, 1899 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Mr & Mrs Anders Wamstad and Mr & Mrs Sever Klemesrud. Helen was confirmed at RCLC on April 24, 1914. She was a life-long member of the Rock Creek Lutheran Church.
