ACKLEY, IOWA — Eleanor Gertrude Kramer, 85, of Ackley, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Presbyterian Village, Ackley.

She was born July 4, 1927, in Stacyville, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Merten Hackenmiller. She married Elmo “Doc” Kramer on August 12, 1947. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kramer was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by five sons: Tom (Eileen) of Aplington, Keith of Ackley, Larry (Pam) of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and Mike (Kelley) and Brian (Dana), both of Urbandale; a daughter, Mary Ann (Tom) Wood of Iowa Falls; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Sister MaryAnn Hackenmiller.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Ray, Clarence and Hubert; and two sisters, Isabel and Magdalen.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ackley, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley, with a 7 p.m. Scripture service.

Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian Village in her name.
