Lester Eugene Kittleson 1930-2014

Lester Eugene Kittleson, 83, of Rochester, Minnesota, died on March 24, 2014, at Meadow Lake Senior Living in Rochester where he resided for the past three years.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2014, at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa, with Rev. Paul Weeg officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Military Honors will be conducted by the Walter T. Enneberg Post 358 of the American Legion. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.

Les was born on June 8, 1930, in St. Ansgar, Iowa, to Ben and Hazel (Lewis) Kittleson. He served two years in the U.S. Army and four years in the U.S. Air Force. After being honorably discharged he worked at the Minnesota Department of Transportation in Wilmar and Owatonna. He retired in 1993, after 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Maxine (Mickey) Carter; niece Kim Carter.

Lester is survived by two brothers, Kenneth (Marie) Kittleson of St. Ansgar; and Gerald (Marjean) Kittleson of Rochester, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews.
