Helen Beck
LIME SPRINGS, IOWA - Helen Dorothy Beck, 95, of Lime Springs, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Regional Health Services, Cresco, from cancer.
She was born December 31, 1914, in Osage, daughter of William Martin and Gertrude Neva Green Hennessey. On January 25, 1934, she married Kenneth Russell Beck. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Beck graduated from Osage High School in 1933. She and her husband farmed.
Survived by: two daughters, Evelyn Truka of Lime Springs and Shirley (Don) Frana of Waterloo; two sons, Daune (LaVonne) and Thomas (Sharon), both of Lime Springs; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: an infant son, Edwin; and a son-in-law, Leland Truka.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen's Catholic Oratory, Chester, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lime Springs. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Lindstrom Funeral Home, Cresco, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
