Judith Hansen Dies Saturday; Rites Tuesday

Mrs. Denison (Judith) Hansen, 36, of 1407 W. 13th St. S., a resident of Newton since 1964, died Saturday morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Jerome Egel, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wallace Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions to the Jasper County Cancer Society will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Lori and Sherri, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Young of Osage; two brothers, John Young of Traer and Robert Young of Osage; and her great-grandmother, Mrs. Dora Schmidt of St. Ansgar.

Mrs. Hansen, a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, was a secretary at the Maytag Co. for 12 years.

The daughter of Marion D. and Mildred Schroeder Young, she was born July 21, 1944 in Osage, attended Osage schools, and the American Institute of Business in Des Moines in 1962 and 1963, receiving an executive secretary degree.

She was married Jan. 25, 1964 in Osage. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines (IA) Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News, Mon 1 June 1981.
