Jacob "Jake" Kloberdanz was born on December 16, 1918, to Joseph M. (1878-1970) and Kathryn C. Kloberdanz (1883-1965).

He was married to Elsie Trinka (1921-2011), on May 11, 1940, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, Iowa. They lived in Waterloo, Iowa.

Jake died on January 27, 1996.
