MCCOOK RITES HELD TUESDAY
SERVICES WERE IN BOTH SIGN, ORAL LANGUAGES

Riceville --- Funeral services for Matt McCook were held at Loper’s Funeral Home at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. J. Cordes of St. Paul, a Lutheran missionary to the deaf, in charge. The Rev. Jonas Priestley, pastor of the Riceville Congregational church opened the service with an invocation. Mr. Cordes used both the sign and oral languages at the same time for the benefit of the hearing and deaf groups.

Among the out-of-town relatives of Mr. McCook were his son, Edward L McCook of Temple City, California, his brother, James McCook of San Francisco; and his sister-in-law Mrs. Ed McCook of Pendleton, Oregon.
